Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled GCP Cloud Architect with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in migrating to virtual machines, App Engine, Google Cloud, VMware Engine, Cloud APIs, Cloud Storage, Cloud Deployment Manager Bare Metal Solution, Google Cloud Migrate, Google Cloud Compute Engine and Cloud Run. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Create monitor & resolve alerts
  • Monitor & triage FinOps alerts
  • Develop new GCP log Base (or custom) alerts or enhance existing alerts based on the ticket resolutions
  • Analyzing the noisy alerts and review if required tune the thresholds.
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud solutions using Google Cloud technologies.
  • Oversee the migration of applications and workloads to virtual machines and Google Cloud VMware Engine.
  • Provide expertise in App Engine Cloud APIs and Cloud Storage to optimize cloud infrastructure.
  • Manage cloud deployments using Cloud Deployment Manager and ensure seamless integration.
  • Implement Bare Metal Solutions for high-performance computing needs.
  • Utilize Google Cloud Migrate to streamline the migration process.
  • Configure and manage Google Cloud Compute Engine instances for optimal performance.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Cloud Run.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud solutions meet business requirements.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost performance and security.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in cloud architecture.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud processes and practices.

Qualifications

  • Must have extensive experience in migrating to virtual machines and using App Engine.
  • Should possess strong knowledge of Google Cloud VMware Engine and Cloud APIs.
  • Must be proficient in Cloud Storage and Cloud Deployment Manager.
  • Experience with Bare Metal Solution and Google Cloud Migrate is required.
  • Should have expertise in Google Cloud Compute Engine and Cloud Run.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a hybrid work model.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in cloud architecture.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and support to development teams.

Certifications Required

Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 03/28/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 - $135,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
