Service Delivery Manager - B&L - Commercial Lending

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations professionals help build and support the Commercial loan products, processes and services in ways that improve profitability and efficiency, while seeking new and innovative ways to support our clients’ changing needs

  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of CRE, C&I, SBA & Wholesale loans line of businesses which includes syndicated and bilateral arrangements covering loan closing, servicing, loan trading, and quality review processes.
  • Experienced in performing legal documentation review, structuring and updating deal parameters on loan systems, tracking legal and compliance documentation, and providing overall support for the assigned loan portfolio.
  • Knowledgeable and expert in loan operations activities including Deal -Closing, Booking, Funding, Review, Servicing, and Secondary loan trading.
  • Leads a team of 100+ associates and motivates them to achieve the team, project and client’s SLA. Consistently achieves all KPI's and SLA's set by the clients with strict adherence to Quality parameters.
  • Use quality tools to ensure that there is maximum efficiency & productivity
  • Manages team responsibilities and allocates work to the Team Leaders as appropriate.
  • Supervises and coordinates the activities of the associates as well as team leaders to ensure prompt, courteous and accurate response to our end customers; ensures an efficient and qualitative operation through effective planning, leading, controlling and organizing.
  • Quality review of transactions for the respective functions processed by the specialists.
  • Authenticate transactions where applicable.
  • Daily coordination with internal and external clients.
  • Supporting & managing loan lifecycle across individual portfolio facing external clients (including corporates), executing various Commercial/syndicated loan transactions daily
  • Efficient and timely management of daily control reports (KRI's) by reviewing & reconciling where applicable.
  • Acting as a direct point of contact for external contact, responding timely to inquiries, resolving client issues and reconciling lender discrepancies.

OTHER GENERIC DUTIES

  • Manage client escalations.
  • Share regular performance updates with clients and internal stakeholders, in accordance with defined SLAs.
  • Conduct monthly business reviews.
  • Maintain an adequate buffer in the process and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Inform stakeholders of any upcoming revenue impacts.
  • Regularly update teams on process changes and process manuals.
  • Lead transformational activities to add value to client operations.
  • Have strong process knowledge to review and approve process SOPs.
  • Follow the governance mechanism established with the client.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government regulations and real estate laws.
  • Identify process automation opportunities.
  • Ensure all committed deliverables and services are rendered on schedule and at defined quality levels.
  • Supervise associates by monitoring volumes, patterns, and schedule adherence
  • Contribute to revenue growth for the account.
  • Manage team responsibilities and allocate work to Team Leaders/SMEs as appropriate.
  • Appraise team performance and provide regular feedback.
  • Interact with support teams to manage HR, Risk, and other administrative activities.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS (ESSENTIAL)

§ Minimum of 10+years’ experience in international commercial loan operations or credit/lending experience within capital markets/Investment banking & wholesale lending

§ Minimum 6 years’ experience in team handling and managing client relationship Knowledge of commercial loan documentation. Expert in understanding commercial loan documents such as loan/credit agreement, syndicated agreement, intent notices, notes, guaranties, letter of credit, financial documents and security documents for accuracy and agreement with approved terms

§ Knowledge of Corporate & Syndicated Loan/ Commercial Real Estate/ SBA loans and Wholesale lending

§ Knowledge of credit and commercial loan systems.

§ Good verbal, written and organizational skills

§ Detail oriented with ability to multitask and prioritize and work in a team-based environment
