The Role:
We are expanding our Insurance Consulting team and looking for specialised Senior Business Analysts with Guidewire (Policy Center) experience. You will predominately work within a squad of cross functional consultants (for example, Digital Strategists, Digital Architects, Agile Coaches) and provide the industry and client business perspective on the challenge that we are solving for our client.

Typically, you will work on engagements that last between 8 weeks and 6 months where you will be analysing a business, its people, their customers to define and solve complex business problems by shaping a strategy, designing a digital solution or architecting the implementation. Sometimes you will work through all those stages in the transformation lifecycle.
In this Guidewire Business Analyst role you will be responsible for:
- Requirements Gathering through direct user interviews as well as formal and informal sessions.
- Analyzing System & Functional Specification.
- Facilitate Joint Application Design (JAD) Sessions with business users and development team to drive out detailed business requirements.
- Identify and translate business needs into clearly defined requirements for insurance policy administration projects.
- Develop requirements documentation inclusive of user stories/ use cases, process flows, data flows and report mock-ups.
- Plan, facilitate, and conduct requirements gathering sessions, meetings, and presentations.
- Build strong relationships within the business units and support functions to understand the business needs.
- Work with project collaborators during project definition to help the team understand risks, dependencies, and opportunities; participate in requirements definition and review; lend domain expertise to projects.
- Ensure that proposed solutions are focused on improving efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes and are consistent across products where possible.
To apply for this Guidewire Business Analyst, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:
- Experienced in functional specifications for Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to all audiences verbally and in writing.
- Experience working in P&C domain.
- Hands-on experience writing user stories is required., Writing requirements, conducting requirement workshops.
- Experienced with Agile SCRUM methodology and business analysis methodologies; solid understanding of business analysis documentation standards.
- Consistent record of creating clear, concise work that reflect a deep understanding of business needs and the out of the box software functionality.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience operating and working with business management, including negotiation and presentation skills.
