Job summary

We are seeking a highly experienced GeoSpatial Developer with 15 to 17 years of experience in Java and API development. The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid model during day shifts and will not require travel. This role involves developing and maintaining geospatial applications that drive our companys mission to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain geospatial applications using Java and related technologies
  • Design and implement APIs to integrate geospatial data with other systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements
  • Provide technical expertise in geospatial data processing and analysis
  • Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in geospatial development
  • Mentor and guide junior developers in the team
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for developed applications
  • Optimize application performance and scalability
  • Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies

  • Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Java programming and API development
  • Strong knowledge of geospatial data processing and analysis techniques
  • Proficiency in using geospatial tools and libraries such as GDAL GeoTools or similar
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services for geospatial applications
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

    Certified Java Developer Certified Geospatial Information Systems Professional
