Senior Salesforce Test Engineer

We are seeking a Salesforce Test Engineer to join our QEA team. The ideal candidate will showcase a deep knowledge of Salesforce, excel in analytical thinking, and consistently demonstrate attention to detail. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and performing test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of our Salesforce applications through comprehensive manual & automation testing. In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce implementations, customizations, and integrations.
  • Ensure that all Salesforce configurations, customizations, and integrations meet the specified requirements and quality standards.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing of Salesforce processes and workflows, including custom Apex and Visualforce components.
  • Conduct functional testing to validate Salesforce functionalities, including workflows, processes, and data validation rules.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including daily stand-ups, spring planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with project stakeholders to ensure alignment with business requirements and quality standards, particularly in Salesforce-driven processes.

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills):

  • Overall 6-10 years of manual and automation testing experience with a focus on Salesforce applications.
  • Must have 4+ years of recent experience in Salesforce testing.
  • Knowledge about Roles, Profiles, Objects ( Account, contact, Assets, Cases, Opportunity, leads etc.) in salesforce.
  • Experience in case management workflows, Page layouts and record types and their use in salesforce.
  • Experience in working with sharing rules, permission sets, permission set groups, Public Groups.
  • Experience in working with multi-vendor/team and leading the integration for Salesforce’s projects in an Agile environment.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and techniques, including functional, regression, and integration.
  • Knowledge of defect management tools like JIRA etc.
  • Hands-on experience with test case management tools (TestRail, qTest, Zephyr, etc.).

What will help you stand out (preferred skills):

  • Insurance domain knowledge.
  • Salesforce certification is a plus.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client office in Toronto, ON.
