Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Developer to join our Actuarial team. As a Software Developer you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining software applications using a variety of languages and technologies including CSharp VB.NET Cplus plus SQL Server Git SSAS and ResQ.

Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain software applications using CSharp VB.NET and Cplus plus.

Utilize the .NET framework and or .NET Core to create robust and efficient applications.

Develop and optimize SQL Server queries for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.

Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Use Git for version control ensuring code integrity and seamless collaboration with the development team.

Work with SSAS to design and implement multidimensional data models.

Utilize ResQ a Cots Product vendor application for actuarial analysis and modeling.

Conduct testing and debugging of software applications ensuring high quality deliverables.

Collaborate with team members to continuously improve software development processes and best practices.

Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies incorporating them into software development projects where appropriate.

Provide technical assistance and support to end users troubleshooting issues and resolving software defects.

Proven experience of X years in software development with a focus on CSharp VB.NET and Cplus plus.

Strong proficiency in the .NET framework and or .NET Core with the ability to design and develop efficient applications.

Experience working with SQL Server and optimizing queries for data retrieval and manipulation.

Knowledge of version control systems with proficiency in Git for code repository management and collaboration.

Familiarity with SSAS for designing and implementing multidimensional data models is preferred.

Experience using ResQ or other similar Cots Product vendor applications for actuarial analysis and modeling.

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot software defects and provide innovative solutions.

Strong understanding of software development methodologies best practices and software testing principles.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.

Self motivated and proactive with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Certifications Required

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field desirable
