Job Title: Purview Data Governance Architect (Remote)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an expert Purview Data Governance Architect to join our diverse team and chip in to our data-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft Purview Expertise: Use Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, lineage tracking, and governance workflows to improve data transparency and trust.
  • Data Governance Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks aligned with business and compliance requirements.
  • Data Stewardship: Define roles, responsibilities, and processes to ensure data integrity and high quality across the organization.
  • Data Quality: Establish and maintain data quality metrics and rules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data assets.
  • Data Security: Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and implement secure access to data.
  • Policy Development: Build, implement, and make sure data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
  • multi-functional Collaboration: Partner with business, IT, and data teams to embed governance practices into operational and strategic processes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10-12 years in data governance, data quality, and security, with a solid focus on cloud-based platforms.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft Purview or similar data governance tools.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of data security, privacy regulations, and data quality management principles.
  • Technical Skills: Sophisticated knowledge of SQL, PySpark, and data modeling.
  • Soft Skills: Good communication, collaborator management, and teamwork skills to work optimally with multi-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with data governance frameworks and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Superb communication and collaboration abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until April 13, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $88,000 - $160,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
