Position: Senior WordPress Developer with Azure Cloud DevOps
Location preferences: Onsite (Novato, CA)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Senior WordPress Developer to manage and optimize our IT digital infrastructure, website deployments, and cloud-based operations in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will focus on automating deployments, improving system reliability, and ensuring high availability of services. This role requires expertise in WordPress, Azure Cloud, CI/CD pipelines. Secondary skills will need to be on infrastructure as code (IaC), scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
Responsibilities:
· Build and maintain WordPress websites
· Deploy and manage WordPress sites on Azure (App Service, VMs, Kubernetes, or containers).
· Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent.
· Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
· Write and maintain deployment scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Requirements & Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent work experience.
· 7+ years of experience in Digital, focusing on websites / content management using WordPress.
· Hand on experience in CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
· Hands On experience with Linux environment for websites
- Hands-on experience in building and maintaining corporate and commercial websites on azure cloud.
· Strong knowledge of WordPress deployment, security hardening, and performance optimization.
· Familiarity managing bio pharmaceutical product, HCP and patient website
· Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
· Strong scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
· Familiar with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, AKS, etc.).
Plus, qualifications but not required
· Knowledge of serverless computing (Azure Functions, Logic Apps).
· Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305) are a plus.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $99,000/Year to $116,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
