What you´ll do
We are seeking a Data Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL Unix Shell Scripting Data WareHousing Concepts Scheduling Basics ETL Data Integration PL/SQL and IBM Infosphere Datastage. This hybrid role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to support data integration and warehousing solutions.
- Design and implement data models to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance and scalability.
- Create and manage Unix Shell Scripts for automation and data processing tasks.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs and data pipelines to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers and team members.
- Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Implement scheduling basics to automate and streamline data workflows.
- Utilize IBM Infosphere Datastage for data integration and transformation tasks.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Necessary Skills
- Possess strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL for database management and development.
- Have extensive experience with Unix Shell Scripting for automation and data processing.
