Description
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong passion for enhancing operational efficiency through automation and optimized engineering practices. In this role, you will be key to ensuring seamless collaboration between development and operations, delivering high-performance, highly available systems.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct regular DevOps tasks which includes build, release, deployments, debugging, monitoring, and automating processes.
· Partner with engineers, QA, and project managers to deliver high-performing, large-scale system
· Automate and optimize build and deployment processes for maximum efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
· A proactive, solution-focused professional committed to delivering results.
· Proficient in troubleshooting applications in Java, GoLang, and Python.
· In-depth knowledge of Linux OS internals, filesystems, and networking.
· Experienced with version control tools like Git and GitHub.
· Skilled in managing large clusters using configuration management tools such as Ansible.
· Experience in Provisioning infrastructure using Cloudformation, Terraform
· Strong understanding of cloud technologies, with hands-on experience in AWS.
· Expertise in maintaining automated build systems, including Jenkins and Gradle.
· Working knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and related tools.
· Experienced with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
· Proficient in using Splunk for system monitoring and issue resolution.
· Passionate about automating workflows and developing tools to eliminate manual tasks.
· Solid understanding of cloud security and compliance standards.
· Knowledgeable in configuring and managing web servers and load balancers like Apache, Nginx, and Envoy.
· Experienced in deploying changes with zero downtime across large server clusters.
· Skilled in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving system and performance issues.
· Proven track record in managing complex, large-scale production environments and infrastructure.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 – 93,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
