Job summary

The GeoSpatial Sr. Developer Java role requires a seasoned professional with 7 to 9 years of experience in Spring Boot and Microservices. The candidate will work in a hybrid model focusing on developing and optimizing geospatial applications. This position does not require travel and operates during day shifts ensuring a balanced work-life environment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain geospatial applications using Java and Spring Boot technologies to enhance data processing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable microservices architecture that supports geospatial data integration.
  • Implement robust and efficient code solutions to ensure high performance and reliability of geospatial applications.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging processes to identify and resolve application issues promptly.
  • Optimize application performance by analyzing system bottlenecks and implementing effective solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers to foster skill development and project success.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software development and geospatial data handling.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency across the development team.
  • Utilize agile methodologies to manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in geospatial development.
  • Contribute to the companys mission by developing innovative solutions that impact society positively.
  • Maintain clear documentation of application processes and updates for future reference and team collaboration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Qualifications

  • Possess extensive experience in Java development particularly with Spring Boot and Microservices.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Have a solid understanding of geospatial data and its applications in various industries.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Show proficiency in agile development practices and tools for efficient project management.
  • Display a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth in the field of geospatial technology.
