Role Outline:

The Consulting Manager will play a key role in delivering strategic CRM and Commercial IT solutions to clients in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. This role requires a strong understanding of life sciences commercial operations and hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as Veeva and Salesforce. The successful candidate will engage with clients to derive strategic insights, shape transformation roadmaps for commercial activities, lead engagements, support digital transformation initiatives, and contribute to internal capability development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide CRM Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to direct the design, implementation, and optimization of CRM platforms (e.g., Veeva CRM, Salesforce) for life sciences clients.
  • Translate commercial business requirements into scalable digital solutions aligned with compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct business process analysis, stakeholder interviews, and system assessments to inform IT roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data, analytics, regulatory, and medical affairs.
  • Support change management, training, and user adoption strategies.
  • Contribute to business development activities including proposals, client presentations, and thought leadership.
  • Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge sharing across the team.

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in life sciences consulting or IT roles specializing in Life Science CRM and digital channels.
  • Strong fundamental consulting skills and experience of how to engage clients to frame problem statements, shape materials for effective communication and demonstrate critical thinking
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial operations (sales, marketing, medical affairs).
  • Proven expertise in CRM platforms (Veeva CRM, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Understanding of modern commercial activities including omnichannel, marketing automation and digital content creation
  • Ability to guide and advise clients on future roadmaps
  • Familiarity with data integration, customer master data, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GxP, GDPR).
  • Experienced in Business Analysis methodologies and contributing to both process improvements and delivering systems that users adopt, trust, and scale up to meet new needs
  • Success in working with Product Managers/owners, UX, copy writers and engineering teams to create next generation digital customer experiences. Additional experience in product launch, customer testing and rapid innovation sprints welcome

Contribution to Development of Practice:

  • A line manager, coach and mentor to members of the team
  • Lead practice activities including Capability Development, Knowledge Management, Proposition or Solution Development
  • Develop focused Thought Leadership assets including industry ‘points of view’ or ‘white papers’, podcasts, blogs, video interviews etc
