Lead API Developer (Google Apigee Focus) - Manager - 64150571

About the role:

As a Lead API Developer, you will make an impact by leading our digital transformation. You will be a valued member of the Cognizant team and work collaboratively with stakeholders and other teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design and implementation of API solutions using Google APIGee Gateway to enhance system integrations and streamline processes.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of APIs on the Apigee API Platform, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical expertise in Apigee API Management to optimize API lifecycle and governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Apigee Developer Portal features, enhancing user experience and accessibility.
  • Ensure the security and scalability of APIs through effective management and monitoring on the APIGEE API Hub.
  • Develop strategies for API versioning and documentation to maintain consistency and clarity across platforms.

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Extensive experience in Google APIGee Gateway and Apigee API Management.
  • Strong understanding of Apigee Developer Portal and API Hub functionalities.
  • Proven track record of leading API development projects

  • API Management Professional Certification

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until 6/30/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $112,500 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
