Responsibilities
Works with onshore and offshore teams to meet and deliver planned releases in an Agile environment
Gains business domain knowledge/expertise and application know-how by working with business and technical teams
Collaborates with other developers as well and technical leads architects business requirement analysts QA and Performance testers and project managers
Knowledge of Cloud Development (i.e. AWS Lambdas Containerization via Springboot etc)
Automate tests at the system level (Business Logic Contract Visual Accessibility Performance etc) using TOSCA
Work with the development and operations teams to debug testing failures
Improve maintain and execute automated testing
Decompose user stories/requirements to identify what tests need to be created and automated for system level testing (Business Logic Contract Visual Accessibility Performance)
Provides significant contributions developing solutions as well as resolving business client questions problems and addressing enhancement needs
Uses technical knowledge creativity and company practices guidelines and priorities to obtain simple solutions to complex problems
Interacts directly with offshore developers and business clients
Serves as a mentor to lower-level developers
Analyze requirements and user stories to help with defining the acceptance criteria for the features that are being developed
Work closely with the Product/Project team to understand their expectations of how a feature would function
Qualifications
Primary/Core Skills -
5+ years hands-on development experience with core Java J2EE (Servlets JSP JDBC JMS Spring MVC JPA Hibernate Log4J)
Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services in particular designing/developing web service APIs
Experience using automation tools (TOSCA)
Experience with Web front end design/development (JSP JavaScript XML HTML CSS3)
Experience decomposing user stories/requirements to create automated tests (Business Logic Contract Visual Accessibility Performance etc)
API automation using SOAPUI Groovy and Advance REST Client
AWS/Lambda knowledge
Apigee integration
Experience in application migrations to the cloud specifically AWS
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for Java JavaScript Spring Hibernate and SQL using an IDE such as Eclipse and Oracle Developer
Experience developing Maven-based applications
Good working knowledge of version control tools such as Git/Gitlab
Experience with Apache CXF
Web service authentication
Experience with SQL development on an Oracle Database
Proficiency with Unix/Linux commands shell scripts and applications
Experience writing tests in the following programming languages- java J2EE
Secondary Skills
Familiarity with Oracle WebLogic Application Server (Admin Console configuration runtime)
Working knowledge of Oracle Coherence
Experience with single Sign-On (SAML)
Experience with WAR file deployment in WebLogic Admin Console
Experience with technologies like- BitBucket Jenkins Test Case Management tools (qTest)
Experience using other automation frameworks like UFT QTP/UFT Rational Silk Automation Anywhere
Nice to have
Ticket/Change Request creation and follow up with ServiceNow
Experience with offshore coordination
Solid understanding of design patterns (GOF patterns and preferably other Design/Architecture/Infrastructure patterns) as well as refactoring
