Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Java Developer with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Location: Hartford, Connecticut state

Responsibilities

• Find opportunities for continuous automation and optimizations in the Production Environment for the Group Benefits domain.

• Design, implement and automate the continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

• Define strategies for Application Performance Monitoring, Resiliency and Chaos Engineering.

• Design and create Observability dashboards for monitoring and generating alerts.

• Perform fault injection experiments to uncover hidden bugs and monitor blind sports in the application and infrastructure.

• Perform root cause analysis and incident management. Collaborate with Development Team members to perform code fixes and run unit and integration tests.

• Assess and evaluate production issues to optimize the MTTR.

• Engage actively in system design, capacity planning and use case reviews.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building microservices with Java 17, Spring Framework (Spring Boot 3, Spring Web Flux, Spring Data or Spring JDBC).

• Five plus years hands on experience in application software development

• Hands-on experience with Automation and building Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines using any of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CloudFormation, Terraform and Ansible.

• Hands-on experience using Open Telemetry with Observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.

• Trained / Hands-on experience with Dockers, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, AWS ECS, AWS Lambda, AWS SQS and AWS FIS (Fault Injection Service)

Travel: 0-5%

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until May 15th, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $70K - $117,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
