Cognizant is a large IT Consulting Firm that leverages modern technologies to transform a variety of business operations. The Cloud Partner Specialist – Public Sector serves as a dedicated point of contact for our partners in government, education, and other public institutions. This role guides partners through all stages of business development, helping them grow their cloud capabilities and deliver exceptional experiences to end users. This role is Fully Remote for candidates living in the United States.
Role Responsibilities
Sales & Prospecting
- Conduct meetings and outreach via email and phone to engage decision-makers within partner organizations.
- Build rapport quickly, assess business needs, and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Execute outbound prospecting campaigns to identify and engage potential customers.
- Achieve or exceed monthly sales quotas through strategic engagement and follow-through.
Customer Relationship Management
- Manage the customer renewal process, identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Educate partners and customers on digital products and cloud solutions.
- Reach out to existing customers to promote ancillary products and increase product adoption.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues or coordinate with support teams for resolution.
Strategy & Enablement
- Lead and contribute to team initiatives aimed at refining sales processes and workflows.
- Develop and document best practices for partner engagement and sales execution.
- Analyze data trends, market dynamics, and customer performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with account managers to streamline upgrade execution and customer success.
Training & Support
- Support regional leads and partner communities with training, materials, and ongoing assistance.
- Participate in the design and implementation of programs to boost cloud sales.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and ensure retention.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, or Public Sector domains.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. A technical degree is a plus.
- Language Requirement: Fluent in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of cloud concepts and competitive landscape.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and sales pipeline management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in outbound phone sales and navigating complex sales cycles.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive, goal-oriented attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Coachable and adaptable, with a willingness to iterate and improve.
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until July 18th, 2025.
The hourly rate for this position is between $31.25 – $36.05 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
