Role Overview:
What You'll Do:
- Lead Requirements Effort: Define, estimate, and manage timelines and efforts for handling requirements.
- Collaborative Scope: Direct requirement sessions with multiple partners, including multi-functional teams, vendors, and remote members.
- Structured Elicitation: Apply a variety of techniques to elicit, analyze, document, and manage business requirements, ensuring partner engagement and thorough understanding.
- Documentation Excellence: Produce and maintain key Business Analyst (BA) artifacts, document high-level and detailed processes, and business use cases within scheduled timelines.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate closely with Business and Technology teams to analyze and determine optimal solution options.
- Quality Assurance: Understand and chip in to test strategies, including documentation of test cases and managing defects.
- Expertise in Delivery: Demonstrate sophisticated knowledge of business analysis and project delivery practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Impact Analysis: Evaluate how changes affect customers, partners, and technology interactions, ensuring alignment with business outcomes.
- Risk Management: Proactively manage risks related to requirements, keeping key partners advised of potential impacts and solutions.
- Leadership and Communication: Offer guidance and leadership, clearly communicating significant project updates to partners and driving strategic discussions.
- Mentorship Role: Enhance team capabilities by mentoring junior peers, sharing insights and standard methodologies in business analysis.
What You Bring to the Role:
- More than 12 years of demonstrated ability working in a Business Analyst role.
- More than 7 years of experience in General Insurance business (Home and Auto).
- More than 7 years of demonstrated ability on the Guidewire platform in ClaimsCenter.
- Experience in enterprise Agile methodology, Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment and Strong facilitation & elicitation skills.
- A great teammate with the ability to communicate effectively with multiple partners at different hierarchical levels with Strong creative and critical thinking skills.
- Solid skills in Process Maps, Business Use Cases, Jira and Confluence experience.
- Required experience in Usage-based Insurance.
Working arrangements:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON, Canada.
