This role is responsible for documenting, monitoring, and analyzing the end-to-end MOOP life cycle, providing recommendations for system and process improvements while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and coordinating issue resolution.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identifies and interprets data, submission requirements, and performance metrics per the regulatory and health plan guidelines.
- Research and document all MOOP errors in established system(s) / database(s) with appropriate statistical and trend analysis.
- Performs root cause analysis, corrective actions, file reconciliation, and communication with both internal and external partners.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of healthcare Medicare data to identify trends, opportunities, and discrepancies.
- Participate in all phases of the service delivery including requirement gathering, testing support, and production support.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Combination of equivalent education or work experience; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience working with claims payment systems and Medicare data analytics.
- Strong client facing experience with the ability to communicate and translate the client needs to actionable objectives.
- Ability to effectively work and communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, 2+ years of experience with SQL.
- Interpret and apply CMS guidance to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical and business process skills.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and new requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of Medicare and other state and federal regulations.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $73,000.00 - $86,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
