Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Cypress JavaScript Jira and PL/SQL along with domain experience in Medicare & Medicaid Claims Claims and Payer. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the highest quality standards in our software products. The position operates on a day shift with no travel required.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of test plans and test cases for complex software applications.
  • Oversee the implementation of automated testing frameworks using Cypress and JavaScript.
  • Provide detailed reports on software defects and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage by creating and maintaining test scripts in PL/SQL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.
  • Utilize Jira for tracking and managing defects test cases and project tasks.
  • Conduct thorough testing of Medicare & Medicaid Claims Claims and Payer systems to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Perform root cause analysis on defects and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and report on test execution progress identifying any potential risks or issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve overall code quality.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to test processes procedures and results.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in quality assurance.
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Qualifications

  • Possess a strong background in automated testing with Cypress and JavaScript.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using Jira for defect tracking and project management.
  • Have solid experience with PL/SQL for database testing and validation.
  • Show expertise in testing Medicare & Medicaid Claims Claims and Payer systems.
  • Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Display strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Hold a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering roles.
  • Be familiar with hybrid work environments and able to manage tasks both remotely and on-site.
  • Show a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
  • Demonstrate the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Have experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Possess strong documentation skills to maintain detailed test records.
