Job Summary
As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the IT infrastructure of our organization. You will work closely with the Service Desk team to ensure that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of IT systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly. The position is hybrid offering a mix of remote and on-site work and operates during day shifts. No travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with the Service Desk team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary updates and patches.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users to resolve system-related issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards for IT systems.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of new IT projects and initiatives.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to protect critical data.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the organization remains competitive.
- Provide training and support to other IT staff members as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Experience with Service Desk work models and providing technical support.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Knowledge of system monitoring and performance optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Experience with system audits and compliance.
- Ability to provide training and support to other IT staff members.
- Understanding of IT policies and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Certifications Required
- CompTIA A+ ITIL Foundation Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
