Lead Quality Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Quality Engineer with 10 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills in Java and Selenium with a preference for experience in Analytics. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the highest quality standards in our software products. The position operates during day shifts and does not require travel.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the quality assurance efforts for software projects ensuring all deliverables meet the highest standards.
  • Oversee the development and execution of test plans test cases and test scripts using Java and Selenium.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quality engineers fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders highlighting any potential risks or issues.
  • Implement and monitor quality metrics to track the effectiveness of testing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in quality engineering and testing methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies standards and regulatory requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in project planning and estimation activities providing accurate time and resource estimates for quality assurance tasks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of the software development process.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and design effective test strategies.

    • Qualifications

  • Possess strong technical skills in Java and Selenium with a proven track record of successful test automation.
  • Demonstrate experience in developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Show proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Have experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
  • Display strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Preferably have domain experience in Analytics.
  • Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Show a proactive approach to identifying and addressing quality issues.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Have a strong understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes.
  • Exhibit a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Hold relevant certifications in quality engineering or software testing.
