At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Sr .Full Stack Developer (Hybrid) to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the “team”, drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data integration and synchronization solutions using Java, Spring and React.
  • Collaborate with multiple partner systems to ensure seamless data flow between systems, ensuring data consistency and reliability.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot data integration pipelines for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • Work closely with databases to design efficient data models, queries, and synchronization mechanisms
  • Lead the development of front-end and back-end components to support data integration workflows.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and best practices.
  • Document system architecture, design decisions, and implementation details for maintainability and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in full-stack development, data integration, and distributed systems.

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

  • 8 to 12 years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on data integration and distributed systems.
  • Expertise in Java, Spring and React for building scalable and efficient data processing applications.
  • Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Solid understanding of database design, optimization, and synchronization techniques.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks with React.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Good-to-Have Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and their data services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to financial data systems.

Optional Skills and Experience:

  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Java, cloud platforms).

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
  • Graduate degree, preferred
  • 8 to 12 years relevant experience
  • Full Stack React/Spring/Java Developer
  • Experience and comfort level acting as a subject matter expert and consultant.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,3372K – $141,500K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
