Job Summary

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for ensuring that technology solutions meet business requirements and quality standards. This role involves collaborating with project teams to review functional and non-functional requirements, translating them into test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring seamless software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes. QA Analysts play a crucial role in mitigating risks, enhancing software performance, and advocating for QA best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement QA strategies to ensure comprehensive testing coverage throughout project phases (Build, Functional Testing, SIT, UAT).
    • Review functional and operational requirements and design specifications to advise project stakeholders on testability.
    • Advocate for QA best practices and standards across the project team.
    • Create, execute, and document test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
    • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and client stakeholders to understand use cases and business needs.
    • Identify risks related to project timelines and deliverables, recommending mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

    • Strong consultative and analytical skills with foundational knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
    • Proven experience creating and executing test cases, leveraging various test heuristics to validate solutions.
    • Strong ownership and accountability, demonstrated through self-directed task management.
    • Hands-on experience with end-to-end system development lifecycle of SaaS implementations.
    • Experience tracking and reporting defects and test results to peers and management.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until April 12, /2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $64,000 - $102,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
