Software Engineer (Java)

Main responsibilities

· Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java spring boot applications as per client's requirements

· Collaborate with teams in other departments to identify and prioritize requirements

· Participate the architectural design and implementation of cloud-native applications deployed in Kubernetes environments

· Develop best practices for the company and participate in code reviews with the team and other stakeholders

· Conduct technical analysis to arrive at solutions and create technological artefacts in response to production issues

· Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines

· Keep up with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing, microservices, and container orchestration

Requirements

· 3-5 years of demonstrable experience in secure coding, testing and deployment in Java (Version 8 and above)

· Strong knowledge and technical skills in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Spring framework, SOAP/RESTful services.

· Working knowledge of database technologies (MS SQL, DB2, Oracle)

· Experience in version control tools (Github, Bitbucket)

· Experience in build tools (Maven, Gradle)

· Experience with DevOps, CI/CD practices and tools (Github actions, Jenkins pipeline and Docker)

· Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

· Familiarity with agile software development methodologies

· Experience in front-end technologies and / or kubernetes is a plus

· Experience in Life and Annuities Insurance is a plus

· Professional proficiency in English is a must

· Salary range for this position is from 3240 EUR to 3810 EUR gross before taxes. The salary offer for the candidate is determined based on the predefined salary ranges for the position and depends on the level of competence and experience of the candidate.
