LabWare LIMS Developer / Configuration Specialist (Remote – Canada)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled LabWare LIMS Developer / Configuration Specialist to support the design, development, integration, and enhancement of enterprise Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in LabWare LIMS configuration, customization, scripting, and system integration, along with experience supporting regulated laboratory environments.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada.
The role will partner with laboratory stakeholders, quality teams, and IT teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-performing LIMS solutions that support operational efficiency and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and customize the LabWare LIMS platform to support laboratory business processes, including workflows, sample lifecycle management, specifications, and data entry forms.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain LabWare Basic scripts, triggers, stored procedures, and automated workflows to extend system functionality and improve laboratory operations.
- Build and support integrations between LabWare LIMS and enterprise applications such as ERP systems, laboratory instruments, middleware platforms, and data historians to enable seamless and reliable data exchange.
- Provide ongoing application support, including troubleshooting system defects, resolving production issues, managing upgrades/patches, and ensuring overall system availability and stability.
- Support system validation activities by preparing and maintaining IQ/OQ/PQ documentation, test scripts, and validation evidence in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to industry and regulatory standards including GLP, GxP, CFR Part 11, and audit trail/data integrity requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, Laboratory Operations, and IT to gather requirements and implement scalable LIMS solutions.
- Participate in change management, release management, and continuous improvement initiatives related to the LIMS platform.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with LabWare LIMS configuration and customization.
- Experience developing LabWare Basic scripts and supporting automated laboratory workflows.
- Knowledge of LIMS integrations with enterprise and laboratory systems.
- Experience supporting LIMS applications in regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, or life sciences industries.
- Understanding of validation methodologies and compliance frameworks including GxP/GLP.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL, Oracle, or relational databases.
- Familiarity with instrument integration and middleware technologies.
- Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and SDLC processes.
- Experience supporting global laboratory operations and enterprise-scale implementations.
Salary and Compensation
The annual salary for this position is expected to be between CAD $95,000 – $120,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
In addition to base salary, candidates may be eligible for bonuses and other compensation-based incentives.
Work Authorization
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Salary and Compensation
The annual salary for this position is expected to be between CAD $95,000 – $120,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
