Job Summary
This hybrid role is for a Technical Lead specializing in S4 HANA UI5 ABAP OData and S4 HANA Data Modeling with five to eight years of experience responsible for guiding complex solution design ensuring high quality deliverables and enabling efficient operations in an automotive focused environment while aligning outcomes to organizational goals and societal impact through reliable digital processes.
Responsibilities
- Design end to end S4 HANA solutions using UI5 ABAP OData and S4 HANA Data Modeling to support scalable business processes in a hybrid work model
- Develop high quality OData services and backend logic that enable intuitive UI5 applications and ensure consistent user experiences for critical operations
- Optimize S4 HANA data models by refining CDS views associations and performance settings to deliver fast and reliable analytical and transactional insights
- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams in operations and production management to translate complex requirements into robust S4 HANA designs
- Review technical specifications code and configurations to ensure adherence to development standards and to minimize defects in production environments
- Troubleshoot challenging S4 HANA UI5 and ABAP issues by performing detailed root cause analysis and implementing sustainable corrective actions
- Coordinate with functional experts from the automotive domain to align technical solutions with industry specific compliance quality and efficiency needs
- Implement reusable components and best practices for UI5 and OData that reduce development effort improve maintainability and enhance system stability
- Validate integration scenarios between S4 HANA modules and external systems by conducting structured testing and resolving data or interface inconsistencies
- Prepare clear technical documentation for designs configurations and custom developments to support smooth knowledge transfer and long term maintainability
- Guide peers and junior practitioners through technical reviews and mentoring to uplift overall team capability and ensure consistent delivery quality
- Engage with stakeholders to communicate technical options tradeoffs and progress updates in a concise manner that supports informed decision making
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation opportunities and process optimizations that reduce manual effort and operational risk
- Ensure overall solution quality by aligning technical decisions with the company mission of building reliable digital capabilities that support safer and more efficient services for society
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong hands on experience in S4 HANA UI5 ABAP OData development including creation of OData services complex business logic and UI event handling
- Exhibit deep proficiency in S4 HANA Data Modeling using CDS views annotations and performance tuning techniques to enable real time reporting and analytics
- Apply sound understanding of core S4 HANA processes and tables to design stable custom enhancements that work seamlessly with standard functionalities
- Utilize knowledge of operations and production management concepts to design technical solutions that streamline shop floor processes inventory handling and order execution
- Leverage familiarity with automotive industry practices such as variant configuration quality checks and traceability to craft domain aware features and reports
- Communicate effectively in hybrid work settings using collaboration tools to coordinate requirements clarifications design discussions and implementation reviews
- Employ disciplined development practices including unit testing code reviews and transport management to safeguard reliability of day time deployments
- Adapt quickly to evolving project needs and new S4 HANA features while maintaining focus on delivery timelines and measurable business outcomes
- Sustain strong problem solving capabilities by analyzing complex data flows and system behavior and by proposing practical and efficient alternatives
