About the role
As a Solution Architect - Front-End Modernization, you will make an impact by leading the architecture, governance, and modernization of a large-scale enterprise front-end transformation program. You will be a valued member of the delivery team supporting The Hartford and will work collaboratively with UI architects, Java/API architects, modernization teams, GenAI engineering teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performing Angular applications.
In this role, you will:
- Define and own the target-state Angular architecture across approximately 50 enterprise applications, ensuring consistency in component design, state management, routing, and micro-frontend adoption.
- Establish and govern shared UI frameworks, reusable component libraries, design systems, accessibility standards, and performance best practices.
- Partner with modernization and reverse-engineering teams to ensure legacy application behavior, validations, workflows, and navigation patterns are accurately reflected in modern Angular experiences.
- Collaborate with Java and API architects to define front-end and back-end integration standards, REST service consumption patterns, caching strategies, and error-handling frameworks.
- Provide architectural oversight for AI-assisted development initiatives, including defining guardrails, quality standards, review processes, and acceptance criteria for AI-generated code.
- Lead architecture reviews, mentor development teams, resolve complex technical challenges, and drive delivery excellence throughout the modernization program.
