Associate Director – Service Line Specialist (SLS)
Digital Process Operations (DPO) & Enterprise Integration Platforms
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Service Line Specialist (SLS) to drive growth across our Digital Process Operations (DPO) and Enterprise Integration Platforms portfolio. This is a client-facing sales role focused on expanding strategic Financial Services accounts, developing executive relationships, and driving transformational business outcomes for Banking, Capital Markets, and Insurance clients across the United States.
The Role
As a Service Line Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies within a portfolio of Financial Services clients. You will work closely with client executives, industry leaders, alliance partners, solution teams, and delivery organizations to identify opportunities, shape solutions, and drive revenue growth.
This role combines consultative selling, industry expertise, and strategic account management to help clients accelerate digital transformation, process modernization, enterprise integration, and operational excellence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Business Growth
· Develop and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
· Create and execute account growth strategies aligned with client priorities.
· Identify and close opportunities that drive revenue growth.
· Support expansion through cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
· Consistently achieve bookings, revenue, and pipeline targets.
· Maintain accurate opportunity forecasting and business planning.
Build Executive Relationships
· Develop trusted advisor relationships with senior business and technology leaders.
· Engage executives to understand strategic priorities and transformation goals.
· Facilitate client workshops, business discovery sessions, and executive briefings.
· Position Cognizant solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
Lead Strategic Sales Efforts

Lead Complex Pursuits
· Shape and qualify strategic opportunities.
· Collaborate with architects, consulting teams, and delivery leaders to develop winning solutions.
· Support solution presentations, commercial discussions, and proposal development.
· Lead multi-disciplinary teams throughout pursuit lifecycles.
· Contribute to negotiations and contracting discussions.
Expand Strategic Accounts
· Identify whitespace opportunities within existing client organizations.
· Partner with account teams to expand Cognizant's footprint.
· Drive new business opportunities across lines of service and solution offerings.
· Support long-term account planning and growth initiatives.
Collaborate with Alliance Partners
· Build relationships with leading platform and technology partners.
· Develop joint go-to-market plans and co-sell opportunities.
· Participate in industry conferences, client events, and partner programs.
· Leverage alliance ecosystems to accelerate pipeline development.
Required Qualifications
· 10+ years of experience in technology sales, consulting sales, or solution sales.
· Proven experience selling into Banking, Capital Markets, and/or Insurance organizations.
· Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and developing strategic client relationships.
· Experience selling digital transformation, automation, integration, or modernization services.
· Strong understanding of consultative and solution-based selling methodologies.
· Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations.
· Strong communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience selling low-code, workflow, automation, or enterprise integration solutions.
· Knowledge of Financial Services technology transformation initiatives.
· Experience working with strategic technology alliances and partner ecosystems.
· Existing relationships within Banking, Capital Markets, or Insurance clients.
· Proven track record leading large, complex enterprise pursuits.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $160,000-$175,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
