Job Summary
Serve as a principal architect with deep expertise in IBM TPF and Java to design enterprise grade solutions ENS Trip Container for a global multinational client in a hybrid work model. Partner with cross functional teams to define architecture standards modernize core platforms and ensure resilient scalable systems that support critical business operations and deliver reliable digital experiences for customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
Domain Experience- Order Mgmt
- Design end to end enterprise architectures that integrate IBM TPF platforms with Java based services to support highly available transactional systems for global operations.
- Define scalable application patterns using core Java and related frameworks to ensure maintainable modular solutions that align with long term technology roadmaps.
- Create high level and low level architecture specifications that clearly describe components interfaces data flows and performance expectations for hybrid deployment environments.
- Coordinate with product managers and business analysts to translate complex functional requirements into feasible technical designs focused on reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to guide implementation approaches for IBM TPF and Java components ensuring adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines.
- Review existing systems to identify modernization opportunities that reduce technical debt improve response times and enhance system resilience for mission critical services.
- Establish non functional requirements including performance scalability security and observability targets and ensure these are embedded into all solution designs.
- Conduct architecture and design review sessions to validate alignment with enterprise principles and to address potential integration and operational risks early in the lifecycle.
- Provide technical mentorship to engineers in IBM TPF and core Java concepts helping them adopt best practices and improve solution quality across teams.
- Engage with infrastructure and cloud teams to define deployment topologies capacity plans and failover strategies that support a hybrid working context without requiring travel.
- Evaluate emerging tools practices and patterns in Java ecosystems and mainframe adjacent technologies to recommend pragmatic adoption paths that enhance platform capabilities.
- Document architectural decisions design rationales and reference implementations to build a reusable knowledge base that accelerates future initiatives and supports audit needs.
- Partner with operations and support teams to design observability controls logging and alerting mechanisms that enable proactive issue detection and faster incident resolution.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security guidelines by embedding secure coding principles data protection measures and access controls into every architectural blueprint.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that streamline development workflows reduce defects and improve time to market while maintaining robustness of core IBM TPF processes.
Qualifications
- Require extensive hands on experience in IBM TPF systems including design tuning and integration with distributed Java based applications in large enterprises.
- Require strong proficiency in core Java concepts including multithreading collections memory management and exception handling applied to high volume transaction systems.
- Require proven background in designing service oriented or microservice style architectures that integrate legacy platforms with modern application stacks.
- Require experience in preparing architectural artifacts such as solution diagrams interface contracts and non functional requirement documents for stakeholder review.
- Require experience working in hybrid work models using collaborative tools to coordinate design discussions code reviews and architecture governance without frequent travel.
- Nice to have experience with performance engineering and capacity planning for IBM TPF and Java workloads including profiling tuning and optimization of critical components.
- Nice to have exposure to continuous integration and delivery pipelines that support automated build test and deployment of Java services in complex environments.
- Nice to have understanding of enterprise security practices including authentication authorization encryption and secure transmission of data across integrated platforms.
- Nice to have familiarity with agile methodologies that emphasize iterative delivery backlog refinement and close collaboration with cross functional teams.
- Nice to have prior experience in large multinational organizations where architectural decisions must consider regional regulations data residency and diverse operational needs.
