We are looking for a Shareholder Services Representative to join our Client Processing Unit (CPU) team. In this role, you will be the voice of our organization — handling inbound and outbound calls from shareholders, brokers, and institutional clients across the various companies we support. You will combine strong communication skills with problem-solving ability to resolve account issues, answer inquiries, and ensure every caller receives accurate, professional, and courteous service.

Location: Mesa, Arizona
Training: Onsite training at the Mesa location. Upon successful completion of training, employees will transition to a remote work arrangement.
Shift: Shifts fall within the window of Monday–Friday 8am-8pm EST and Saturday 9am-5pm EST. Schedules may include a Saturday shift. Specific shift assignments are determined by business needs.
In this role, you will:
•Be available and adhere to your scheduled shift to handle inbound calls promptly
•Answer inbound calls from shareholders and prospective shareholders, responding to inquiries with accuracy and professionalism
•Follow account verification procedures on every call
•Adhere to CPU call handling standards during all customer interactions
•Respond to account and procedural questions, including balances, closing prices, portfolio performance, and quotes
•Listen actively and ask the right questions to identify each client's needs
•Take ownership of client issues and resolve them efficiently
•Maintain accurate shareholder account records across relevant systems
•Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team when needed
•Keep management informed of client feedback and recurring themes
•Make outbound follow-up calls to shareholders when issues can't be resolved during the initial call
•Build and maintain a working knowledge of the systems used for shareholder transactions and account maintenance
•Stay current on Stock Transfer products, services, and systems
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client products supported by CPU and internal policies and procedures
•Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain expertise in financial markets and instruments
What you need to have to be considered:
•1–5 years of experience in a call center / customer service environment, ideally within financial services
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and education
•Strong verbal and written English communication skills
•Solid keyboard/typing skills (formal typing training is a plus)
•Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
•A customer-first mindset

Hourly Rate and Other Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $17.00 – $18.50 per hour depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
