Job summary
Serve as a PTG Senior Developer specializing in B2C Commerce designing developing and optimizing scalable digital retail solutions in a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel. Contribute advanced hands on expertise across the full delivery lifecycle ensuring secure high performing commerce platforms that elevate customer experience and create measurable business value.
Responsibilities
- Design robust B2C Commerce components that enable secure and seamless customer journeys across web and mobile channels ensuring high performance and reliability
- Develop reusable B2C Commerce features that improve time to market for new offerings and reduce long term maintenance effort for the engineering teams
- Implement integrations between the B2C Commerce platform and enterprise systems such as order management inventory and customer data platforms to support end to end digital commerce flows
- Optimize application performance by tuning queries caching strategies and page rendering to provide consistently fast response times during high traffic events
- Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to translate detailed business requirements into technical designs that align with platform capabilities and enterprise standards
- Review and refactor existing B2C Commerce code to improve quality maintainability and security while preserving functional behavior and meeting compliance expectations
- Configure and extend promotion engines pricing rules and catalog structures to support complex merchandising strategies and personalized customer experiences
- Implement comprehensive unit tests and integration tests that validate critical B2C Commerce functionality and protect against regression during frequent releases
- Monitor production environments using observability tools identify root causes of incidents quickly and implement preventive fixes that improve system resilience
- Document technical designs configuration decisions and deployment procedures in a clear and maintainable format to support knowledge sharing across distributed teams
- Coordinate with UI developers and UX specialists to ensure that storefront implementations are accessible responsive and aligned with design system guidelines
- Guide junior developers by providing constructive code reviews and sharing best practices in B2C Commerce development security and performance optimization
- Ensure that all solutions adhere to organizational standards for data privacy accessibility and regulatory compliance while still delivering intuitive experiences for customers
- Align development activities with the hybrid work model by maintaining clear communication using collaboration tools effectively and supporting smooth handoffs across locations
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating emerging B2C Commerce features and recommending practical enhancements that create measurable business outcomes
Qualifications
- Combine around ten to thirteen years of progressive software development experience with significant focus on complex enterprise commerce implementations
- Demonstrate deep hands on expertise in B2C Commerce platforms with a proven track record of delivering high traffic consumer facing applications
- Apply strong skills in server side programming scripting and data modeling to implement scalable and maintainable commerce services
- Use solid understanding of integration patterns and API design to connect B2C Commerce solutions with payment gateways logistics partners and internal systems
- Bring practical experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration pipelines to enable reliable and frequent releases
- Leverage working knowledge of cloud hosting content delivery networks and application performance monitoring to keep storefront experiences fast and resilient
- Employ clear communication and collaborative problem solving skills to work effectively with cross functional partners in a hybrid work setting
- Exhibit familiarity with secure coding practices data protection concepts and common web vulnerabilities to safeguard customer and transaction data
