Client Partner – Banking and Financial Services
Position Overview
We are looking for a business leader with deep domain experience of Danish Financial Services industry, to work with our clients in this sector and to drive their strategic business transformation agenda.
This includes aspects such as business and technology transformation, digital initiatives, and Outsourcing/Automation programs for Business process (BPO) as well as for IT.
Client Partner is expected to engage with our existing and prospective client CxO organizations, understanding their strategic objectives, and demonstrating Cognizant value proposition towards fulfilling those customer objectives. In order to achieve this, the Client Partner will need to engage with various Cognizant internal capability groups responsible for multiple specialized service groups and bring an integrated value proposition of Cognizant towards its clients.
The Client Partner is the end-to-end accounts owner, responsible for overall P&L and senior client relationships. This role requires extensive CxO level relationship building and executive connects, as well as a focus on revenues, operating margin, customer satisfaction and employee growth and development.
Based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Some travelling is required.
Key expectations
• Build trusted advisor relationships in the C-level/executive management level across the client organization.
• Leverage strong domain knowledge within Banking and Financial Services to understand client’s business drivers, digital market forces disrupting the industry, and design differentiated value propositions.
• Manage the P&L associated with the client accounts against set topline and bottom-line targets.
• Focus is to grow and expand the portfolio profitably and sustainably.
• Create and manage pipeline of Consulting, Digital, IT and Business operations services across the client.
• Shape and deliver the customer’s digital transformation and other strategic agenda.
• Build and leverage an eco-system of partners, alliances, start-ups, and advisors to help deliver customer specific strategy and solutions.
Broad Responsibilities
Build and manage executive level relationships, acting as senior point of contact.
Act as the overall leader of the account team, setting and driving strategy.
Optimize account performance including growth, service mix, margin & experience.
Identify and grow new and expansion opportunities. Partner with Account Executive and Service Line Specialists to close opportunities on accounts.
• Drive profitable growth of the account relationship through identifying and overseeing the closure of new, renewal, and expansion opportunities.
• Develop client engagement strategies.
• Manage accountability against Measurable Revenue/Profit Growth within set timelines.
• Review the performance metrics of the account with the delivery, operations and finance teams on regular basis.
• Be part of senior management reviews for the performance metrics of the account relationship
• Collaborate with multiple service lines, innovation teams and business teams in Cognizant to formulate a business plan and execute it for the account relationship.
• Have regular meetings and interface with the customer decision makers and influencers.
• Have a complete understanding of the relationship position within the account; be responsible for execution and customer satisfaction in all the revenue portfolios within the account.
• Identify and forge partnerships and tap into existing alliance partnerships of Cognizant to grow the account.
• Shape the thought leadership agenda.
• Actively drive execution of the innovation agenda for the portfolio
• Focus on developing a plan to increase the visibility of Cognizant in the account relationship and in the practice industry.
Requirements for the Role
• You have strong domain knowledge in Banking and Financial Services domain within Denmark
• You have significant exposure to challenges the industry with prior experience in delivering digital strategy and/or technology driven business transformation programs with a consultative approach.
• You have CxO relations and can connect with C-level and senior executives in the industry in Denmark/ Nordics
• Experience in Technology enabled business transformation. You can visualize, and design transformational solutions based on customer business goals, new business models and disruptive digital technologies
• Proven experience in building pipeline, selling and delivering Transformation programs.
• Extensive experience in managing P&L, meeting targets and growing the portfolio.
• Experienced operating as a "hunter", developing accounts from scratch
• Proven experience in building and managing cross-functional high performing teams.
• Experience in managing and connecting global partners and alliances across customer engagement life cycles.
Other Skills/Abilities
• Strong Communication (preferably Danish and English) and interpersonal skills
• Analytical and understands a broad range of technologies; keeps up to date with market and technology trends.
• Strong leadership, consulting - and influential skills
• Highly organised and Customer orientated
• Ability to work in an ambiguous environment with clients.
