About the role
As a webMethods Technical Consultant, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise integration solutions across cloud and on-prem environments using the webMethods platform. You will be a valued member of the Integration & Middleware team and work collaboratively with architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
• Design and implement integrations using webMethods Integration Server, API Gateway, and webMethods.io to support enterprise workflows
• Lead API development and lifecycle management including REST/SOAP services, policies, security, and throttling
• Support cloud migration initiatives by transitioning on-prem integrations to webMethods.io with secure and scalable architectures
• Monitor and troubleshoot integrations, analyze logs, and ensure high availability across hybrid environments
• Configure and manage B2B/EDI integrations via Trading Networks, including partner onboarding and document processing
What you need to have to be considered
• Strong hands-on experience with webMethods Integration Server, API Gateway, Trading Networks, and/or webMethods.io
• Proven expertise in integration development using REST, SOAP, messaging, and cloud connectors
• Programming knowledge of Java, Flow services, and scripting for customization and automation
• Solid understanding of cloud integration, hybrid architecture, and migration from on-prem to cloud
• Experience working with databases and SQL for backend validation and data handling
These will help you stand out
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of API security, authentication, encryption, and certificate management
• Experience optimizing performance and tuning integrations for high-volume environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments
Work model: On site in Alpharetta, GA

Salary and Other Compensation:
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
