Senior Full Stack .NET Developer (AWS)

About the Role

As a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer (AWS), you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering scalable cloud-native applications that support critical business initiatives. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional development teams to build high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.

In This Role, You Will:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise web applications using C#, .NET Core, Angular, SQL Server, and AWS.
• Drive the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through deployment and production support.
• Develop and enhance cloud-native and SaaS-based solutions while supporting modernization and migration initiatives.
• Implement DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automated testing to improve software quality and delivery efficiency.
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead technical discussions, mentor junior developers, and promote engineering best practices.
• Manage development activities using Jira, including backlog refinement, sprint execution, and release coordination.
• Troubleshoot and optimize application performance across multiple development and production environments.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in a Cognizant or client office in Fort Mill, South Carolina. What You Need to Have to Be Considered

• 9+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using C#, .NET Core, REST APIs, and Angular.
• Experience with SQL Server development, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and performance tuning.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience working across the full software development lifecycle in Agile environments.
• Experience with DevSecOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Terraform.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, cloud-native architectures, and AWS best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

These Will Help You Stand Out

• Experience with SaaS transformation and application modernization initiatives.
• Experience with microservices and distributed system architectures.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• AWS certifications or other cloud-related certifications.
• Experience supporting large-scale, enterprise applications in production environments.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position depends on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
