Job Summary
Principal Architect role in a global organization focusing on advanced warehouse and supply chain solutions using Manhattan WMOS and Manhattan Active platforms. The role requires twelve to fifteen years of experience designing scalable hybrid model systems that optimize warehouse operations and supply chain workflows. The Principal Architect will translate complex business needs into robust technology landscapes that improve efficiency accuracy and resilience for clients and communities.
Responsibilities
Design comprehensive warehouse management architectures using Manhattan WMOS and Manhattan Active that align with business objectives and deliver measurable improvements in inventory accuracy throughput and order fulfillment performance.Define end to end solution blueprints for supply chain management processes that integrate warehouse operations with upstream and downstream systems to achieve higher visibility reliability and responsiveness across networks.Analyze existing warehouse management landscapes to identify performance gaps and design modernization strategies that reduce operational risk improve stability and support future growth without disruption.Collaborate with product owners and operations teams in a hybrid work model to translate complex functional requirements into clear technical designs that enhance usability maintainability and business value.Guide platform configuration and extension of Manhattan WMOS and Manhattan Active capabilities to ensure optimal use of native features while meeting nuanced fulfillment labor and slotting needs.Evaluate integration patterns for connecting warehouse management platforms with enterprise resource planning transportation and order management solutions to streamline data flows and reduce manual interventions.Create detailed architectural documentation including component models data flows and deployment diagrams that enable consistent implementation across environments and support effective governance.Review solution implementations and technical designs from project teams to verify alignment with architectural standards performance expectations and long term sustainability of the warehouse ecosystem.Optimize system performance and scalability by assessing transaction volumes peak workloads and storage strategies to safeguard service quality during seasonal or promotional demand spikes.Coordinate with infrastructure and cloud teams to define secure resilient and cost efficient deployment models for Manhattan WMOS and Manhattan Active in hybrid environments that meet compliance expectations.Mentor senior engineers and functional consultants in advanced warehouse management and supply chain architecture practices so that project delivery quality improves and knowledge is systematically shared.Engage with business stakeholders to explain architectural decisions in clear terms and demonstrate how proposed solutions contribute to operational excellence customer satisfaction and reduced environmental impact through efficient logistics.Champion continuous improvement by monitoring solution outcomes gathering stakeholder feedback and recommending enhancements that keep warehouse and supply chain capabilities aligned with evolving market conditions.
Qualifications
Possess twelve to fifteen years of progressive experience in designing and implementing complex enterprise solutions with a strong focus on warehouse management and supply chain management.Demonstrate deep hands on expertise in Manhattan WMOS including configuration integration approaches and performance optimization for large distribution centers.Bring substantial experience with Manhattan Active capabilities including cloud based deployment patterns and design of flexible workflows that support omnichannel fulfillment.Show advanced understanding of warehouse management processes such as receiving putaway picking packing shipping and returns with the ability to model them into robust system designs.Apply strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including demand planning inventory control and transportation coordination to create cohesive end to end architectures.Utilize excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in hybrid delivery setups with cross functional teams and global stakeholders.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications in Manhattan WMOS or Manhattan Active and professional supply chain certification such as CSCP or similar.
