Workday HRIS Specialist (Core HCM) – Parental Leave Cover
Role overview
This is a temporary Workday HRIS Specialist role (approx. 12 months) covering a maternity leave, sitting within the Workday functional lead team and supporting a client in Sweden. The role requires strong hands on expertise in Core HCM, including the ability to independently analyze requirements, configure solutions, handle complex functional issues, and perform data loads using EIB. It suits an experienced HRIS professional comfortable acting as a key point of contact in a mature Workday environment.
Location Preferably based in Stockholm, Sweden. Stockholm-based candidates are expected to work from the office two days a week; candidates in other Swedish cities may work fully remotely.

Functional requirements
• Act as a functional point of contact in a broader HR systems landscape, ensuring Workday remains the system of record
• Load and manage data using EIB, including data validation and error resolution
• Support data migration activities, ensuring accuracy and integrity of HR data across system changes.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Workday configurations
• Configure, test, and maintain the Workday modules in scope (Core HCM required, others nice to have)
• Provide 3rd‑line functional support, including troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of complex issues
• Develop and maintain clear, high‑quality functional documentation
Technical requirements
• Hands on experience with EIB data loads and data migration in PROD environment in Workday (required)
• Experience with Workday reporting (nice to have)
• Familiarity with Workday security role-based access configuration (required)
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams in a complex HRIS setup (nice to have)
• General understanding of how Workday data is exchanged with downstream systems (nice to have)
Qualifications
• Minimum 3+ years of hands on experience configuring and supporting Workday, particularly Core HCM
• Solid understanding of HR processes and Workday best practices
• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle escalations
• Familiarity with Workday release cycles and new feature adoption
• Languages: Swedish and/or English required
