Job Summary
Serve as a Consultant specializing in SAP quality management and production planning within the medical devices domain designing inspection and production solutions that support regulatory compliance and operational excellence while collaborating in a hybrid work model to align system capabilities with evolving manufacturing and quality needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders in medical devices manufacturing to capture detailed requirements related to quality inspection production planning and compliance needs and translate them into SAP solution designs that are practical and scalable for long term use
- Configure and optimize SAP quality management inspection functions for production processes so that inspection lots usage decisions and results recording support precise defect tracking and continuous improvement across plants and lines
- Design and maintain SAP ERP production planning processes that align demand management material availability and capacity constraints to create realistic production plans that reduce delays and waste
- Document end to end business processes covering inspection during production nonconformance handling and corrective actions so that process owners and auditors can clearly understand the system enabled controls and traceability
- Coordinate system testing cycles including unit testing integration testing and user acceptance testing for new or changed SAP quality and production planning solutions to ensure that business scenarios and regulatory use cases are thoroughly validated
- Provide expert support to production planning and quality teams during day to day operations by troubleshooting SAP issues analyzing root causes and proposing sustainable fixes that minimize downtime and data inconsistencies
- Develop clear and user friendly training materials and conduct targeted training sessions for planners shop floor users and quality personnel so that system adoption improves and manual workarounds are reduced over time
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including regulatory affairs and quality assurance to design SAP controls and reports that help demonstrate compliance with medical device regulations and internal quality standards during inspections and audits
- Work with iRCAS process owners to align SAP inspection and production planning data with risk and complaint management activities so that product quality issues can be traced back to manufacturing conditions and process parameters
- Monitor system performance and data quality in SAP production and quality modules and propose structured improvement initiatives that enhance master data accuracy batch traceability and on time order completion metrics
- Engage in incident and change management activities by documenting issues preparing change requests estimating effort and coordinating deployments during agreed maintenance windows to keep systems stable for day shift operations
- Advise stakeholders on best practices for hybrid work collaboration around SAP changes including the use of remote workshops online testing support and digital documentation so that projects can progress efficiently without travel
- Align daily consulting work with the organizations broader purpose by shaping SAP enabled processes that support safe reliable and traceable medical devices reaching patients and healthcare providers in a timely and compliant manner
Qualifications
- Possess five to eight years of hands on consulting or functional experience in SAP quality management inspection in production and SAP ERP production planning with a demonstrated record of delivering improvements for manufacturing clients
- Demonstrate solid domain experience in medical devices manufacturing processes including clean room production lot based traceability and device history records and show familiarity with how these needs map into SAP transactions and data
- Apply practical knowledge of iRCAS or similar complaint and risk management frameworks to help integrate SAP production and quality data into end to end issue tracking and corrective action processes in a compliant way
- Exhibit strong skills in requirement analysis solution documentation and test case design so that SAP changes are clearly understood by technical teams and are verified thoroughly by business users before go live
- Show the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model with day shift coverage using remote collaboration tools structured communication and disciplined handover practices to maintain transparency and continuity across teams
- Communicate clearly with business and technical partners using concise language and active listening so that complex SAP concepts and regulatory needs can be aligned without misunderstanding or unnecessary rework
