Job summary
Sr Consultant with five to eight years of experience in M365 Security responsible for designing implementing and optimizing security configurations for enterprise tenants ensuring robust protection of identities data and devices in a hybrid work model while aligning with business objectives and compliance standards for a large multinational organization.
Responsibilities
Design secure M365 tenant architectures that align with organizational security policies and support scalable enterprise wide collaboration while maintaining strong access controls and complianceImplement and fine tune M365 security features including identity protection data loss prevention and threat management to reduce risk exposure and safeguard critical information assetsConfigure and optimize Microsoft Defender for Office and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps to detect prevent and respond to malicious activities across emails documents and cloud applicationsAdminister and enhance Azure Active Directory conditional access policies multifactor authentication and identity governance to ensure secure and seamless user access experiencesConduct detailed security assessments of existing M365 environments to identify misconfigurations vulnerabilities and gaps then provide clear remediation recommendationsDevelop and maintain security baselines configuration standards and operational runbooks for M365 security services to ensure consistent adoption across business unitsCollaborate with cross functional teams such as infrastructure network and compliance to ensure M365 security controls integrate effectively with broader enterprise security capabilitiesMonitor security alerts incidents and trends within the M365 ecosystem and coordinate effective incident response including analysis containment and follow up improvement actionsCreate detailed documentation user guidance and knowledge articles to support operations and improve awareness of secure practices among end users and administratorsSupport governance and compliance initiatives by aligning M365 configurations with regulatory requirements internal policies and industry best practices while documenting evidence for auditsParticipate in change management activities for M365 security including risk assessment testing and post implementation review to ensure stable and secure deploymentsProvide mentoring and technical guidance to peers and junior practitioners by sharing knowledge on M365 security features configurations and troubleshooting approachesEngage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into secure M365 solutions that enhance productivity while maintaining strong protection of organizational assets
Qualifications
Possess a bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience in information technology computer science or a related discipline with a strong focus on enterprise security practicesDemonstrate five to eight years of hands on experience working with Microsoft 365 security capabilities including administration configuration and continuous improvement in enterprise environmentsExhibit deep proficiency with Azure Active Directory identity and access management features such as conditional access multifactor authentication and privileged access controlsShow practical experience with Microsoft Defender suite including configuration of policies analysis of alerts and coordination of incident response activities for cloud based workloadsDisplay working knowledge of data protection features such as information protection labels data loss prevention and encryption to help safeguard sensitive data across cloud servicesApply understanding of regulatory frameworks and organizational compliance needs to configure M365 security settings that support audit readiness and risk reductionDemonstrate strong communication and documentation skills to collaborate with technical and non technical stakeholders and to clearly explain security recommendations and decisionsShow commitment to continuous learning by staying current with evolving M365 security capabilities threat landscapes and recommended hardening practices relevant to large multinational enterprises
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified Cybersecurity Architect Expert or Microsoft 365 Certified Security Administrator Associate
