Job Summary
Infra Dev Specialist role focused on designing and enhancing observability and event management solutions using Splunk ITSI Moogsoft and Zenoss Cloud to support critical finance and accounting platforms in a work from office and day shift model with no travel ensuring stable compliant and data driven operations for a global enterprise client.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust observability solutions using Splunk ITSI to monitor complex financial application landscapes and underpin reliable transaction processing across global operations.
- Configure and optimize Moogsoft for intelligent event correlation that reduces alert noise and accelerates incident triage within finance and accounting technology environments.
- Develop and maintain Zenoss Cloud monitoring models that provide deep visibility into infrastructure health for core finance platforms including middleware databases and network components.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting stakeholders to translate business critical service level expectations into actionable monitoring use cases and alert policies.
- Build and fine tune Splunk ITSI services key performance indicators and health scores that reflect the true end to end condition of financial services and batch processing workflows.
- Implement automation scripts and configurations that streamline incident enrichment and routing from Moogsoft and Zenoss Cloud into the enterprise ticketing ecosystem to improve response times.
- Analyze historical alerts incidents and performance metrics to identify recurring infrastructure issues impacting financial close cycles reporting deadlines and payment processing windows.
- Partner with application owners infrastructure teams and control functions to define runbooks for high impact financial incidents and embed them into observability and event management workflows.
- Perform capacity and performance assessments leveraging data from Splunk ITSI Moogsoft and Zenoss Cloud to support planning for financial peaks such as quarter end and year end activities.
- Ensure monitoring and event data flows comply with finance and accounting control standards and support audit readiness through traceable configuration baselines and documented procedures.
- Provide day to day operational support for observability platforms in a work from office and day shift context including health checks configuration updates and issue resolution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing enhancements to dashboards alert logic and correlation rules that directly reduce downtime and manual effort in finance operations.
- Document observability architectures standard operating procedures and knowledge articles so that finance technology and operations teams can effectively leverage monitoring insights.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate solid experience of at least five years in infrastructure or site reliability engineering roles with hands on responsibility for production environments.
- Show advanced proficiency with Splunk ITSI including creation of services key performance indicators health scores glass tables and custom correlation searches.
- Bring proven implementation experience with Moogsoft encompassing event ingestion deduplication correlation policies situation management and integration with incident tools.
- Apply practical expertise in Zenoss Cloud configuration including resource modeling template design event rules and metric based alerting for hybrid infrastructure.
- Possess strong knowledge of finance and accounting domain processes such as general ledger accounts payable accounts receivable reconciliations and period end close activities.
- Utilize understanding of finance control and compliance expectations to align observability configurations with regulatory audit and segregation of duty requirements.
- Employ solid skills in scripting or configuration driven automation using commonly adopted enterprise tools to enhance monitoring and event enrichment workflows.
- Communicate clearly with both technical and finance stakeholders using concise language that supports accurate incident resolution and informed decision making.
Certifications Required
Splunk Certified IT Service Intelligence Certified plus any recognized certification in enterprise monitoring or observability suites.
