Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented team member to support Benchling Notebook and Registry configuration. The role focuses on translating requirements into configured solutions maintaining templates and schemas and working closely with the Benchling team. Success requires strong data modeling knowledge attention to detail clear communication curiosity about scientific research and a willingness to learn. Experience with leveraging Benchling AI tools is highly valued.
Responsibilities
Translate provided requirements into configured solutions within Benchling including entry and notebook templates entity and result schemas dropdowns registry fields and workflow configurations.Maintain and update existing templates schemas and configurations as scientific workflows and business needs evolve.Leverage Benchling AI tools to accelerate and scale template building and configuration activities while maintaining accuracy and consistency.Validate configurations against requirements support user acceptance testing and troubleshoot issues in partnership with end users and vendor support teams.Partner with other members of the Benchling team who gather requirements to clarify scope and confirm that configured solutions meet documented needs.Track and document work using tools such as JIRA and Confluence and maintain clear and well organized configuration documentation.Provide Tier 2 support for configuration related questions and assist in deploying fixes.Required Qualifications
Solid understanding of data models and data modeling concepts that are central to effective Benchling configuration or a -demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn them quickly.Strong willingness to learn grow within the role and rapidly adopt new tools and concepts.Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and consistency in configuration work.Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly document requirements configurations and decisions.Genuine curiosity and interest in learning about the scientific research conducted at Takeda.Comfortable using or willing to learn tools such as JIRA and Confluence to track work and document progress.Openness to learning and adopting Benchling AI tools to efficiently scale template building and configuration activities.Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.Preferred Qualifications
Experience translating documented requirements into configured software solutions preferably within an Electronic Lab Notebook or scientific data platform.Hands on configuration experience with Benchling Notebook Registry Bioregistration and Benchling Insights or Data Warehouse.Familiarity with Python and REST APIs that support Benchling applications and integrations.Working knowledge of SQL for querying the Benchling Data Warehouse and building Insights dashboards.Degree in Life Sciences Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified Azure AI Engineer Associate and vendor training in Benchling or recognized AI prompt engineering programs
