Job Summary
Test Analyst role in a multinational company focusing on auto verification and validation for advanced automotive systems using automation desk and custom test frameworks. Responsibilities
- Design and maintain comprehensive automated test suites using automation desk to validate automotive embedded systems in accordance with project quality objectives and delivery timelines.
- Develop efficient and readable test scripts in python bash and capl that precisely exercise automotive software functions and capture detailed diagnostic information for defect analysis.
- Create modular and reusable test framework components that standardize test execution logging and reporting processes to improve overall testing efficiency across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with system engineers and software developers to understand functional requirements and translate them into clear test scenarios and acceptance criteria for verification and validation.
- Execute automated and selective manual tests for automotive control modules ensuring accurate coverage of safety performance and reliability aspects under various operating conditions.
- Analyze test results and system logs to identify root causes of failures and provide concise actionable defect reports that support timely resolutions and continuous product improvement.
- Optimize test cases and scripts by eliminating redundancy and improving runtime performance to enable faster feedback cycles in continuous integration environments.
- Apply auto verification and validation methodologies to confirm that implemented features align with specifications industry standards and regulatory expectations in the automotive domain.
- Coordinate with quality assurance stakeholders to refine test strategies align coverage metrics and ensure that test evidence meets audit and compliance requirements.
- Document test plans procedures and outcomes in a clear and structured manner enabling traceability from requirements to test cases and final validation status.
- Support integration of test frameworks with configuration management and build systems to enable seamless automated test execution in hybrid work settings.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to tooling workflows and coding practices that strengthen the reliability of automotive software releases.
- Engage in knowledge sharing activities such as code reviews and test script walkthroughs to help maintain consistent testing standards across the verification team.
Qualifications
- Possess professional experience of at least two years as a test analyst or equivalent role with exposure to automotive software projects and structured verification activities.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in working with automation desk including scenario configuration hardware interaction and automated execution monitoring in real or simulated environments.
- Exhibit practical scripting capabilities in python bash and capl for building test utilities parsers and simulation scripts tailored to automotive communication and control interfaces.
- Show hands on experience in custom test framework development including test harness design result aggregation and integration with reporting or dashboard tools.
- Apply deep understanding of auto verification and validation principles covering requirement based testing boundary analysis regression planning and test evidence management.
- Display familiarity with hybrid work models collaborating effectively through digital platforms while maintaining discipline in documentation communication and remote test execution.
- Illustrate knowledge of standard software testing practices such as defect lifecycle management version control usage and adherence to coding guidelines suitable for safety focused projects.
Certifications Required
ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or equivalent software testing certification focusing on automation and validation practices.
