Job Summary
This role focuses on designing and implementing Identity and Access Management solutions using Java Sailpoint IdentityIQ Oracle Identity Governance and Oracle Identity Manager for life and annuities insurance environments. The Sr CyberSecurity Engineer IAM will safeguard critical policyholder and enterprise data while supporting hybrid work arrangements and collaborating with cross functional teams in a day shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Design IAM solutions that securely manage user identities and access rights across life and annuities insurance applications using Java based integrations with Sailpoint IdentityIQ and Oracle IAM platforms
- Develop scalable provisioning and deprovisioning workflows that ensure timely and accurate access changes for employees partners and systems in alignment with regulatory and business controls
- Implement robust access certification processes that help reduce unauthorized access and support periodic reviews mandated by insurance compliance requirements
- Configure and customize Sailpoint IdentityIQ components including connectors rules and workflows to support complex life and annuities policy administration and claims systems
- Configure Oracle Identity Governance and Oracle Identity Manager to support account lifecycle management and role based access models tailored to insurance distribution underwriting and servicing functions
- Optimize IAM related Java components such as custom connectors web services and adapters to improve performance resilience and maintainability of security services in a hybrid work model
- Perform in depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis for IAM incidents and defects collaborating with application teams to restore secure access while minimizing business disruption
- Define and implement role mining and role engineering approaches that translate insurance job functions into sustainable roles and entitlements improving access clarity and reducing risk
- Create and maintain detailed technical and process documentation for IAM solutions ensuring that implementation patterns are reusable consistent and aligned with enterprise standards
- Collaborate with cybersecurity governance risk and compliance stakeholders to align IAM controls with regulatory frameworks relevant to life and annuities such as data privacy and financial conduct obligations
- Drive continuous improvement of IAM monitoring alerts and dashboards to detect anomalous access behavior and support timely response by security operations teams
- Coordinate user acceptance testing for IAM features with business and operations teams ensuring that new capabilities and changes support efficient day to day insurance processing in a hybrid model
- Provide guidance to peers on IAM design patterns coding practices and secure integration approaches fostering a culture of security and shared accountability across technology teams
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience working with SailPoint IdentityIQ (functional and/or technical configuration).Strong understanding of IAM concepts: identity lifecycle management, RBAC, access certifications, SoD, entitlements.Hands-on experience with IIQ workflows, rules (BeanShell/Java), forms, and connectors.Familiarity with directory services (Active Directory, LDAP) and application integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, JDBC, flat files).Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.Understanding of security/compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST) is a plus.Basic knowledge of SQL, XML, and Java/J2EE technologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
