Project Controls Engineer
About the role
As a Project Controls Engineer, you will make an impact by coordinating daily execution and maintaining schedules for automation and system integration projects in Life Sciences manufacturing. You will be a valued member of the project delivery team and work collaboratively with the Project Manager, engineering leads, and client stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
● Develop and independently manage project schedules for automation and system integration projects, using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
● Coordinate directly with client scheduling and controls resources to align on project timelines and dependencies
● Lead look-ahead, test-status, workstream, and internal coordination meetings across engineering, operations, quality, and IT/OT teams
● Track actions, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across teams to keep projects on schedule
● Support the project through its full lifecycle, from design through testing, commissioning, qualification, and startup, in alignment with GMP and C&Q requirements

What you need to have to be considered
● 8+ years of experience in OT/Automation/Controls Engineering within Life Sciences or Pharma manufacturing
● Hands-on experience with DeltaV or similar DCS/automation platforms
● Experience independently developing and managing schedules for automation and system integration projects
● Familiarity with Primavera P6 or MS Project, with the ability to coordinate directly with client scheduling and controls resources
● Working knowledge of Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) processes and experience in GMP-regulated environments
These will help you stand out
● Experience as a System Integrator working with Life Sciences clients
● Background on large capital projects, manufacturing expansions, or facility startups
● PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification
● Experience managing multiple workstreams cross-functionally
