Senior Java Full Stack Developer (Java, Spring Boot & Oracle)
About the role
As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications while driving technical excellence across the software development lifecycle. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver innovative, secure, and high-quality solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and modern front-end technologies including React.
- Lead software solution delivery by providing technical guidance, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving best engineering practices across the team.
- Create and maintain architecture and design artifacts while ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards for security, resiliency, and performance.
- Leverage enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, documentation, and delivery while validating outputs through peer reviews and automated testing.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify trends, improve application performance, optimize system architecture, and enhance overall code quality.
Work model ONSITE

What you need to have to be considered
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and object-oriented programming.
- Extensive experience building scalable applications using Spring Boot and Microservices Architecture.
- Proven experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS (Amazon Web Services).
- Strong database development experience with Oracle and advanced SQL query optimization.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs in enterprise environments.
- Experience designing, debugging, and maintaining applications in large-scale corporate environments.
- Knowledge of React and modern front-end technologies.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, troubleshooting, and operational stability.
- Ability to independently own modules, drive technical discussions, and mentor junior team members.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and validating AI-generated outputs for quality, performance, security, and compliance.

- Experience contributing to architecture decisions for complex distributed systems.
- Knowledge of AI-driven engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, model optimization, and responsible AI practices.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets to drive engineering and operational improvements.
- Active participation in engineering communities, innovation programs, or emerging technology initiatives.
- Experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives across multiple teams.

Compensation
The annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
