Job Summary
As a Lead Quality Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in software testing and automation. You will leverage your expertise in Watir Cucumber Ruby and TOSCA to drive testing excellence. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions in a hybrid work model with no travel required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies to ensure software quality.
- Oversee the automation of test cases using Watir Cucumber and Ruby to enhance testing efficiency.
- Provide expertise in TOSCA DI and Tosca to streamline testing processes and improve accuracy.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects early in the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure that testing activities align with project timelines and deliverables.
- Conduct thorough reviews of test plans and scripts to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on testing methodologies and tools.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of testing activities.
- Drive innovation in testing approaches to enhance overall product quality.
- Monitor and report on testing progress and outcomes to project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies in all testing activities.
- Contribute to the development of testing frameworks and tools to support ongoing projects. Qualifications
- Possess strong technical skills in Watir Cucumber and Ruby for effective test automation.
- Demonstrate proficiency in TOSCA DI and Tosca for comprehensive testing solutions.
- Have experience in Property & Casualty Insurance or Life and Annuities Insurance domains is advantageous.
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Show ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
- Display strong communication skills to effectively convey testing outcomes.
- Maintain a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new testing technologies.
Certifications Required
ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer
