Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infra. Technology Specialist with expertise in z/OS Administration to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have between 6 to 10 years of experience and will work in a hybrid model with day shifts. This role does not require travel. The candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our infrastructure ensuring seamless operations and contributing to our companys success.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the z/OS environment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Oversee system configurations and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for z/OS systems to minimize downtime and enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure improvements and upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary adjustments to optimize resource utilization.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations processes and procedures.
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing robust backup and recovery strategies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
- Assist in capacity planning and forecasting to support future growth and scalability.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for z/OS administration.
Qualifications
- Possess a strong background in z/OS Administration with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Show proficiency in system performance monitoring and optimization techniques.
- Have experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Display a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential system vulnerabilities.
- Be knowledgeable about industry standards and best practices in infrastructure management.
