About the role
As a Data Architect, you will define and implement the architecture, standards, and best practices for scalable Data Hubs that support analytical, reporting, operational, and Generative AI use cases. This role requires strategic thinking, deep technical expertise, and the ability to guide engineers, shape data governance, and ensure system scalability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Designing and overseeing the implementation of scalable, efficient data models integrating multiple sources in the form of Data Hub
Defining patterns, templates, and best practices for data engineering
Establishing data governance, access policies, and security frameworks for data layer / Data Hubs
Ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and processing of large-scale datasets
Preparing project documentation in accordance with internal procedures and processes (One Essentials)
Preparing solutions for streaming and batch data ingestion, transformation, and updating models
Implementing automated data validation, anomaly detection, and proactive issue resolution
Working with engineers, analysts, and AI/ML teams to align architecture with business needs
Maintaining comprehensive architecture documentation and mentoring engineers
Requirements
Fluency in English and Polish
Strong expertise in Azure-based data platforms and Databricks
Deep knowledge of Databricks (primary tool), Delta Lake, Apache Spark
Experience with dimensional, relational, and NoSQL models
Strong background in data policies, lineage, and compliance
Proficiency with Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse, Azure SQL, Event Hubs
Experience with CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes/AKS, Docker
Ability to define strategy, mentor engineers, and drive adoption of best practices
Great ability to create and maintain clear architectural documentation
