About the role
As a Power BI Technical Architect (Life Sciences Analytics), you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, high-performance analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the Life Sciences domain. You will be a valued member of a cross-functional delivery team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and reporting developers to drive enterprise-wide reporting initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- Define and govern end-to-end Power BI architecture, including data ingestion, transformation, semantic modeling, and reporting layers
- Lead solution design and technical decision-making across multiple reporting workstreams, ensuring alignment with enterprise data platforms
- Oversee development of interactive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and analytics reports while enforcing best practices in data modeling, DAX, and performance optimization
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and standardized KPI frameworks
- Drive delivery excellence by leading cross-functional teams, ensuring on-time execution, quality, and adherence to agile methodologies

What you need to have to be considered
- Strong expertise in Power BI (Desktop, Service, Fabric), DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale BI solutions, including semantic models and data marts
- Hands-on experience with data warehousing platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse) and ETL/ELT pipelines
- Proven ability to lead delivery across multi-stream analytics programs and manage distributed (onsite/offshore) teams
- Experience in performance tuning, scalability optimization, and large-scale reporting environments
These will help you stand out
- Experience in Life Sciences or Pharma analytics (commercial analytics, sales & marketing reporting, KPI dashboards)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models, SDLC, and DevOps practices
- Experience in greenfield analytics implementations and architecture setup
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including executive communication and business alignment
- Ability to establish governance frameworks for data quality, validation, and reporting consistency

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $88,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
