Job Summary

Serve as a Cloud Architect with deep experience in AWS to design review and optimize scalable secure and resilient solutions using AWS Well Architected Framework and AWS Systems Manager. Collaborate with cross functional teams in a hybrid work model to modernize card and payment platforms reduce operational risk and deliver reliable digital services for global clients.


Responsibilities

  • Design cloud architectures that apply AWS Well Architected Framework principles to deliver secure resilient and cost efficient platforms that align with enterprise standards and hybrid work practices.
  • Develop reference architectures and reusable patterns tailored for card and payment solutions that support high availability low latency and consistent customer experience across regions.
  • Review solution designs from application and platform teams to identify risks in security reliability performance efficiency cost optimization and operational excellence and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Configure and optimize AWS Systems Manager capabilities such as automation patch orchestration state management and inventory to reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency.
  • Implement robust monitoring and observability strategies using AWS native tooling and complementary platforms to detect issues early and reduce mean time to recovery for critical payment and card services.
  • Collaborate with product owners architects and engineering teams during early design phases to translate business and regulatory requirements into compliant and scalable AWS solutions.
  • Create detailed design documents runbooks and architecture decision records that provide clear guidance for implementation maintenance and future enhancements in card and payment environments.
  • Drive security by design practices on AWS by applying identity and access controls data protection mechanisms network segmentation and logging that support audit needs for financial services.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost by analyzing usage trends right sizing compute and storage and advising teams on efficient use of managed services and automation.
  • Coordinate and support application migration or modernization initiatives into AWS by defining transition architectures migration waves and validation steps that minimize service disruption.
  • Engage with stakeholders in day shift hybrid model ceremonies to provide architectural guidance resolve technical blockers and ensure that delivered solutions meet agreed nonfunctional requirements.
  • Evaluate new AWS services and features that can enhance resiliency and operational efficiency for payment processing workloads and prepare impact assessments and adoption paths.
  • Guide teams on effective use of infrastructure as code and configuration management aligned with AWS Systems Manager capabilities to improve repeatability and compliance.


Qualifications

  • Apply over ten years of progressive experience in designing and implementing complex infrastructure or cloud solutions with a strong focus on high availability and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrate expert level knowledge of AWS core services including compute storage networking security controls and management services with hands on implementation exposure.
  • Exhibit deep practical experience in applying AWS Well Architected Framework pillars during assessments and remediation efforts for production workloads.
  • Show proven hands on experience configuring and operating AWS Systems Manager for automation patching configuration tracking and operational insights.
  • Utilize strong background in cards and payments or broader financial services domains to design architectures that consider transaction integrity regulatory compliance and fraud prevention controls.
  • Communicate complex cloud architecture concepts clearly to technical and non technical partners while documenting decisions and rationales in a structured and concise manner.
  • Apply solid understanding of hybrid work practices agile delivery and peer collaboration to participate effectively in design reviews planning sessions and incident discussions.
  • Maintain relevant cloud certifications and continuously learn new AWS capabilities and architectural patterns to keep solutions modern secure and efficient.
