Lead GCP DevOps Engineer – Marketplace Onboarding
Job Location: Remote- Canada

We are seeking a highly technical and detail-oriented professional to lead Google Cloud Marketplace Onboarding and Solution Validation (SV) initiatives.
This role is responsible for ensuring partner and customer solutions meet Google Cloud’s technical, security, and billing compliance standards for Marketplace publishing. It bridges business onboarding and technical onboarding, driving seamless integration and maintaining high standards of quality and scalability.
In this role, you will:
Technical Validation & Onboarding
- Perform end-to-end validation of VMs, Kubernetes (GKE), Containers, and SaaS solutions
- Drive onboarding lifecycle in collaboration with Google engineering and internal stakeholders
- Configure IAM roles, service accounts, and API enablement
- Provide architectural guidance for VM, Kubernetes, and SaaS packaging models
- Package and deploy applications using Docker and Google Artifact Registry
- Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes deployment issues
- Develop and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates
API Integration & SaaS Billing
- Guide integration of Cloud Commerce Procurement APIs and REST APIs
- Support SaaS onboarding, billing, subscriptions, and entitlement models
- Ensure compliance with GCP billing, security, and API standards
- Work with Private Offers and enterprise billing constructs
Documentation, Automation & Strategy
- Create validation reports, SOPs, and onboarding documentation
- Drive automation using Python or scripting tools
- Act as a technical advisor to partners for optimizing Marketplace listings
- Support initiatives to improve Marketplace adoption and solution readiness
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering / DevOps / architecture
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Compute Engine (VMs)
- Kubernetes (GKE) & containerization
- Terraform (IaC)
- Docker & Artifact Registry
- Experience in solution onboarding, validation, or cloud architecture
- Strong understanding of:
- REST APIs
- SaaS application lifecycle
- IAM, OAuth2, OIDC
- Experience with billing models or SaaS subscription platforms
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Google Cloud Marketplace or similar platforms
- Knowledge of Cloud Commerce / Procurement APIs
- Proficiency in Python or scripting
- GCP Certifications:
- Associate Cloud Engineer (Required)
- Professional Cloud Architect (Preferred)
- ITIL certification (nice-to-have)

Salary and Other Compensation:
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
Compensation: we are offering an annual salary between $80,550-$125,500
